Triathlon Sponsorship Opportunity
Dear Potential Triathlon Sponsors,
The Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation (JMNMF) invites you to be a sponsor of the fourth annual Father's Day sprint triathlon on at the South Carroll Swim Club. The race’s theme, "Tri-to-Win…the fight against melanoma," presents an excellent opportunity, format and venue to increase your company’s visibility and image in Carroll County and surrounding communities. Since the event’s inception in 2003 as a primary fundraising event for the South Carroll Swim Team, participation and support has grown tremendously. New in 2006 - tax deductible contributions benefit the Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, public charity. The South Carroll Swim Team continues to be actively involved and benefits from the participation and exposure of this annual event.
The triathlon is solidly established as an excellent event for first-timers and experienced racers alike, to compete in a family friendly, enthusiastic and well-supported setting. The triathlon event includes a 400-meter swim, 14-mile bike and 5K-run. "Sold-out" last year, the event is limited to approx. 300 participants, however, total visitors well exceed 600 through the avid attendance and support of family members and friends.
Sponsor contributions underwrite prizes and awards, in addition to general event expenses. In special acknowledgement of Father’s Day, unique prizes are given to the "Fastest Father/Son & Father/Daughter" teams. Race awards are also presented to the top three fastest female and male athletes overall, and the top three female and male finishers in each age group. Gift certificate donations provide tangible recognition and support for this activity.
Your sponsorship in the South Carroll "Tri-to-Win" Sprint Triathlon signals your active support and involvement in a very worthwhile cause and visible community sporting event. Through the event’s publicity campaign, you can receive broad exposure for your products and services to include key local and regional media, official sponsorship acknowledgement in race literature, websites, and the 20th Annual Carroll County Invitational Swim Meet program. "Gold" & "Platinum" sponsors will also be printed on official race t-shirts for all participants and volunteers.
Don’t miss this sponsorship opportunity - we look forward to making this a "win-win" partnership and successful event for everyone!
Sincerely,
Greg Safko, Board of Directors
