The South Carroll Serpents compete in Division 2 of the Central Maryland Swim League (CMSL). The CMSL is comprises of 47 teams in nine different divisions. The teams are scattered throughout the central Maryland area and compete in the summer months during June and July. To participate on a CMSL team, swimmers must be part of a full family membership of their respective swim clubs. Each summer season, the teams in our division compete in five dual meets and a Divisional meet.

The goal of our summer swim team is to develop swimmers at all skill levels and maintain a fun, family oriented environment.  We promote mentoring and team spirit through our buddy program and team social events. All swimmers are eligible to swim 3 events in each dual meet.  

2024 Season Information

In order to be able to participate on the team a child should be able to swim front crawl/freestyle and float on their back unassisted for one length of the pool. Evaluations for 8 and under swimmers and all new swimmers will be held in the evening May 29th and 31st, 5-6pm. The parent meeting is held after the evaluations on May 31.

After school practices will begin the week of June 3th, morning practices will begin Monday, June 17th. Our team is designed for swimmers who can attend most morning practices during the season.
