    Coaches Corner

     

    I am so proud of all the swimmers that participated in time trials Saturday!  We had a lot of good swims and many firsts!  A few reminders going into our first week of morning practices and our first real swim meet:

     

    -Please remember that girls must wear a one piece bathing suit- NO BIKINIS or TWO PIECES during meets or practices.  

    -ALL SWIMMERS MUST HAVE A SOUTH CARROLL SWIM CAP AND BLACK/TEAM SUIT for meets.  

    -Serpent of the week starts this week!  Remind swimmers that we will be looking for swimmers who are working hard, not complaining, are helpful, and are being good teammates.

    -PARENTS- please make sure you are on the top of the hill during practices, no parent son deck.

    Updates/Reminders

    • Volunteer Jobs and Swim Meet commitments are open!

    • go to www.scserpents.com. From the bar on the right, click “Events & Competition” and then select “Team Events”.

    • Click on the . Click on your child’s name, and select from the drop down menu yes, or no. 

    • Then click the checkbox next to “Day 1 Session 1”, and hit “save changes.”.

    • Buy out- $250 for 5 families- First five families to email [email protected] will be able to pay their way out of working time trials and dual meet requirements (pay out does not include additional meets).

    • All previous bulletins are available on the team website in the news section.

    • Signup Genius for Evening Practices (June 24-July 17) is coming soon!

    Meet Updates/Reminders:

    • Dual Meet @ Spring Lake: Sign in or out by Tuesday.

    • Arrive by 8:00 am.

    • NO photography/videos behind the blocks- don’t pull your cellphone, watch, etc. out behind the blocks.

    • Please make every effort to wear South Carroll Spirit wear and/or Black and Yellow. We are here to support our summer swim team! 

     

    Team Gear:

    • If your swimmer is not wearing the team suit, they will have to wear the team cap and a black suit.

    • THE WINDOW FOR PERSONALIZED CAPS IS CLOSED.

    • We will have plain team caps available for $10 soon!

    • First Fun Friday is June 20, and it will be Buddy Introduction!  Bring yourself and a great attitude (all supplies will be provided)!
