    Coaches Corner

     

    What a great first meet!  We had so many personal bests, first time legal swims, and Straehle qualifiers!  We will start to update the Straehle tab on our webpage!  It is going to be HOT this week.  Please make sure your swimmer is bringing plenty of water to practice.  Just a reminder to sign IN or OUT by Tuesday.  It is important to sign out if you will not be there.  We really need all the swimmers at meets, we were missing over 60 kids this past Saturday!  Looking forward to a fun week!  A few reminders to help your swimmers at the meets:

    -Drink water and make sure you stay hydrated!

    -Stay in the water until everyone in your heat has finished- tell others good job

    -Listen for your events and be ready to swim!

    -Stay in our team area- some pools may open their other pools- we NOT permitted to swim during the meet (this goes for home meets too)

    -HAVE FUN!

    Updates for the week

    • Hot Dog Wednesday is June 23.

    • Fun Friday is June 27! The activity will be making the team banner! All you need to bring is a great attitude!

    • We are taking requests for singers/performers for the national anthem at our home meets.  Please email [email protected] by Friday, 6/27 if your swimmer is interested.

    • Signup Genius for Evening Practices (June 24-July 17) will be sent out later today, stay tuned!

    • RELAY CARNIVAL: Please fill out the google form below if you are participating,  We must submit numbers by Wednesday, June 25th: https://forms.gle/LFJbtPBij9N6PxBd6 

     

    Meet Reminders:

    • Dual Meet vs Maple Lawn is June 28. Swimmers must arrive and check in by 8:00 am. Address is: 7600 Maple Lawn Boulevard Fulton, MD 20759

    • NO photography/videos behind the blocks (no cell phones/smart watches etc)

    • Divisionals: July 26th. You MUST swim in 3 dual meets in order to qualify, and qualification is based on time.

    • Please make every effort to wear South Carroll Spirit wear and/or Black and Yellow. We are here to support our summer swim team! 

     

    Team Gear:

    • If your swimmer is not wearing the team suit, they must wear the team cap and a black suit.

    • Volunteer Jobs and Swim Meet commitments are open! You MUST commit by Tuesday at midnight for each meet or your swimmers will not be entered. Directions for committing are in the June 15th bulletin.
